4. Purple Rashes That Can Transform into Blisters
Look out for purple rashes that transform into blisters. These purple rashes may look like a rash or they may look like a bruise. In either case, they will often bubble up and become blisters making them even more painful than they were before. You may also notice swelling around the affected area. All of these symptoms usually start around the affected area, but they can easily spread to other parts of the body if the bacteria spreads throughout the body.
You also notice that the blisters are filled with fluid and if a blister becomes damaged, you will notice that the fluid smells horrible. This is due to the tissue being killed by the necrotizing fasciitis. However, keep in mind that this rash and the blistering that goes with it may not always be in the area where the infection happened. If the infection spread throughout other parts of the body quickly enough, then it may appear there instead.
