3. Redness & Warmth around the Affected Area & Other Parts of the Body
You may also experience redness and warmth around the affected area as well as in other parts of the body. It usually starts in the area where the cut or abrasion is and where the bacteria entered the body. This is another terrific clue that will let you know that what you are experiencing is necrotizing fasciitis and not a cold or flu.
Cold or flu symptoms often include chills and fever, but when a certain part of the body is warm or hot, it generally means that there is some kind of infection inside the skin. Often, this is around the affected area but it may be another part of the body as well, you can use this clue to determine if you have something serious the needs immediate treatment such as a bacterial infection from necrotizing fasciitis or Staphylococcus.
