14 Home Remedies to Relieve A Clavicle Fracture

Search Articles Here

A clavicle fracture is when the bone that connects the shoulder and breastbone are broken. In order to get the clavicle fracture fixed, medical treatment is needed. A lot of the time, people don’t have the funds to go to a doctor, so they may just let the clavicle fracture get worse. If treatment is sought, the injury can go away within days to weeks. The longer you wait to seek treatment, the worse it will get. You may even have to have surgery so that you can use your shoulder again.

There are home remedies that can relieve a clavicle fracture until you’re able to see a doctor for treatment. Even though home remedies are good, they are no substitute for getting the clavicle fracture fixed.

Here is a list of eight home remedies to relieve a clavicle fracture. Most of the items you may already have at home.

1. Icing the clavicle fracture will relieve the symptoms.

Icing eases the pain and swelling. It should be done several times a day. When icing the area, place the ice cubes in a towel, so that the ice doesn’t have to be directly on your skin. Let it sit on your shoulder for about 15 to 20 minutes. Don’t try to move your shoulder since it might feel as though the pain has eased. If you keep moving it, it will get worse.

Ice the area every couple of hours. You may be able to do it sooner. Whenever you feel pain, ice the area. The pain will ease for a bit. The swelling should go down in a few days.

Also, if you have a bruise on your shoulder, it will eventually go away with icing. If it doesn’t always go to a doctor. There may be something more serious going on.
