You’ll need to stay away from caffeinated and juice drinks until your chloride levels go back to normal. You should drink water during every meal. You don’t have to drink an entire gallon. After a while you should notice the vomiting and bowels have improved.
Before drinking juice and caffeinated drinks again, ask your physician if it’s okay to incorporate it back into your diet. Your physician may suggest that you only drink it once in a while to prevent having another episode. It would be best to give it up because it’ll just make you dehydrated.
