6. Decrease Stress
When you feel anxiety before a major test or a stressful life event, the first casualty may be your stomach. Mild nervousness that can take the form of “butterflies” in your stomach can have a more intense and unpleasant effect if the fear or pressure is greater.
Not only can stress contribute to gastritis, but it can actually be a major cause of the condition. Similarly, reducing stress can ease the symptoms of this ailment. Although changing your job may not be feasible, there are ways to reduce the pressure.
Just having a positive perspective on your daily life can help decrease the anxiety and feeling of pressure; psychotherapy can be helpful in dealing with problems. Exercise has been shown to reduce stress. Aerobic activity that gets the heart pumping can help you work off anxiety and yoga can increase flexibility and a feeling of relaxation.
