4. Neti Pot
A neti pot is an age-old device that assists with the treatment of a blocked sinus. When used correctly, a neti pot removes the pollen and bacteria causing a blocked sinus – relieving the pressure that’s responsible for creating your sinus headache.
A neti pot looks like a small bowl with a spout coming out of the top of the device. Follow these directions to ensure you use it effectively.
Step 1 – wash your hand thoroughly to remove any bacteria.
Step 2 – Fill the neti pot with distilled water (don’t use tap water.)
Step 3 – Lean over a sink.
Step 4 – Title your head to the side.
Step 5 – Insert the spout of the neti pot into the nostril on the high side.
Step 6 – Breathe through your mouth and pour the water into your nostril.
The water will run from the one nostril into the other and out of the nose, removing all of the bacteria and pollen stuffing up your sinus.
