4. Taking Antibiotics
Many times, white tongue is a sign of some kind of bacterial infection that has taken hold in your body – and if this is the case, then the condition should be relatively easy to treat. See your doctor to find out what types of antibiotics can be prescribed to treat the infection; this should take care of the bout of white tongue at the same time, which is in this case more than likely caused by an oral candida infection – a surprisingly common condition that can be spread from person to person through several means, or just mean that the balance of your body’s Ph is severely wrong.
Sometimes antibiotics can also be the cause behind the problem, in which case replacing the flora that has been lost through the antibiotic by simply eating yoghurt. Visit your doctor again if the problem persists despite a course of antibiotics having been taken.
