4. Worsening Pain from Minor Injuries
Osteomalacia is a health condition which can cause severe complications with bone and muscle health, and one of the first symptoms that people experience together with pain in the bones and weakness of the muscles is a constant worsening pain from what would otherwise have been minor injuries; for example, a small bruise might make a larger bump, and a knock against a table might cause a bone fracture where it would have just been a bump or bruise.
It’s often one of the first warning signs that you should look for if you’re displaying other symptoms of osteomalacia, although it can easily also be a symptom of other disorders that are related to your bone health. The best course of action if you’re displaying several of the symptoms is to make an appointment with your doctor as soon as you can so that a proper and thorough diagnosis can be made.
