Typically, it is recommended to take around 500 to 2000 mg every couple of hours. Some other fruits and vegetables that are high in vitamin C include dark leafy vegetables such as spinach, strawberries, oranges, kiwis, bell peppers, Brussel sprouts, and broccoli. In addition, increasing vitamin D can also help reduce your risk of catching a cold. Fish and sunlight are two good sources of vitamin D.
