7. Jock Itch
When fungus enters the jock area an infection may occur. This infection is often referred to as jock itch. Jock itch is very contagious and is often caused by wearing underwear that is too tight or becomes damp. Wearing tight underwear that is damp can also aggravate the symptoms of this disease. If you have developed jock itch you will likely first notice a red rash that is a bit scaly in your groin area. This rash will often spread from the groin to the upper area of your thighs and may even affect your buttocks.
Jock itch can cause a person to become extremely itchy in the jock area, which can be quite embarrassing as you simply need to scratch the itch when it occurs. If scratching the area breaks the skin it can lead to infections. This is why it is important to notice this skin disease early and to treat it properly as you do not want it to spread further.
