6. Seborrheic Keratosis
As you age your skin may start to become thicker. Seborrheic Keratosis is one of the causes of this thickening of the skin. This is a skin disease that does not often occur in younger individuals, but there are times when it can. The symptoms of seborrheic keratosis may include small warts that become raised. These warts may be brown or yellow in color. It also may cause papules as well as excess skin pigment in certain areas.
Some of the warts that develop may produce sebum. The growths that develop on the skin can become raised and may even become itchy and discolored. In addition, the skin growths may feel quite greasy. Unfortunately, for many people seborrheic keratosis is simply a part of life. It is something that just happens to the skin as it gets older. There are ways to avoid this skin disease including eating a healthy diet.
