You can choose how you want to consume and how often. In most cases, you do not have to eat garlic every day but as long as you consume it regularly, you can experience the health benefits it has to offer. Here are 14 of those benefits. 

1. Relieves Cold Symptoms

Nobody likes to have a cold and although a cold may not be a serious illness, the symptoms can still interfere with your daily life and call you to spend time in bed, off work, and away from your family. Most people who have a cold want to get rid of it as soon as possible. There are medications that can help reduce the symptoms, but you can also consume garlic to find relief as well.

Not only does garlic help with congestion and sore throat, but it can also help move the cold germs out of your body faster so you get over the cold quicker. Garlic can also be added to hot liquids and meals such as soup that can soothe your cold symptoms. Consuming garlic on a regular basis can help boost your immune system so you are less likely to get a cold or infection and can fight off other illnesses and diseases more easily.
