14. Indigestion
Preparing a tincture from black seeds is quite commonly used to help with loss of appetite, diarrhea, and indigestion. Traditionally, black seeds are also used to help reduce nausea and to stop vomiting. If you are suffering from an upset stomach for any reason, try taking some black seed oil to help you feel better. The calming effects of the oil can help to ease some of the symptoms that you might be experiencing. Some reviews suggest that the oil might help to protect the stomach from ulcers and other damage.
These reviews are mostly based on clinical experiences and studies done on animals. In a study done on rats, black seed oil was found to help protect the stomach lining from the harmful effects of alcohol. More studies need to be done in order to prove these theories, but in many cases, black seed oil has provided at least some relief from indigestion and other abdominal discomforts.
