Underlying infections in the body can be the cause behind a lot of common health issues, and if you have an infection that you don’t know about for a long time it can affect almost everything else in your body including your kidneys, liver and urinary tract – and if you develop a yeast infection along with any other symptoms (such as a fever), then it’s likely that the one might be causing the other.
You should make an appointment with your doctor if you suspect that an underlying infection might be the cause of a yeast infection. It’s easy to treat if spotted early enough, and a simple course of antibiotics is enough to sort out the majority of infections – and will sort out both infections at the same time.
There are some things that you can’t treat at home, and underlying infections in the body turn out the be one of them.
