3. Stress:
Stress is a killer, to put it bluntly. It is a number one reason for many, many ailments we have… high blood pressure, constipation, headaches, etc. It causes underlying conditions to flare up… mood disorders included (i.e. BPD – borderline personality disorder, depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder).
Sleeping is like a natural mood/anxiety/stress remedy. It releases endorphins in the brain that cause relaxation and repair throughout the whole entire body. It gives your brain a chance to believe everything is going to be okay, while you take a moment away to do something to take care of yourself.
Many people today work a lot of hours to keep up with the demands of rent, potentially childcare, and more; so, for the average American today… taking a nap is a good counterbalance to keep you fresh and de-stressed throughout your entire day.
