In a bike, motorcycle, or car accident, you’re more than likely going to fall on your shoulder. Sometimes the collarbone may come out of place. The only way to get it back into place is by having a medical professional do it. It is painful along with having a broken collarbone. In the emergency room, you’ll be given pain medication to relieve the pain and your nerves.
Imaging and labs will be taken to see how broken the collarbone is. If it’s nothing that’s serious, placing the arm in a sling and rest will help heal it. On the other hand, if it’s serious, surgery will be done at a later date or right away. It depends on the surgeon’s schedule. No matter how it works out, you should have the surgery. You won’t be able to drive again, if you don’t.
