4. Manage Epilepsy
More than 150,000 Americans live with the nervous system disorder, epilepsy. Patients who are suffering from epilepsy experience seizures when an environmental trigger induces changes in brain activity, leading to dysfunction in the central nervous system, (CNS.)
Patients who are suffering from epilepsy may have moments before their seizures where they lose touch with their senses, creating feelings of a loss of awareness. Over the course of your lifetime, there is a 1 in 26 chance that you could receive an epilepsy diagnosis.
The condition is rarely fatal, but it may cause complications with other nervous system disorders. The patient is also at risk of injuring themselves during the onset of a seizure. If no-one is around to help the patient when they experience the seizure, they may fall and hit their head, resulting in a skull fracture.
Supplementing with bacopa alongside your epilepsy medication may help to ensure you don’t experience any seizures in the future. However, bacopa will also reduce the intensity and duration of seizures, should they occur.
