4. Swelling
Another common symptom that people who suffer from chronic inflammation will experience is swelling. Swelling occurs when fluid accumulates in tissues throughout the body. When a person is suffering from chronic inflammation, they might notice that they have to swell in a particular area. For example, people who have diabetes will often see that they have swelling in their legs. People who have arthritis might see that their joints become swollen.
At times, a person might experience swelling in an area and not have any inflammation. Most of the time, if swelling occurs, it is the result of a direct injury to space. However, if you have not been injured and you notice swelling in an area of your body, there is a chance you are suffering from inflammation of some type. Your doctor will be able to help determine what is causing you to have this particular symptom.
