Nausea is one sensation that many people have experienced. While other sensations may be hated by most but enjoyed by some, such as chaos and adrenaline rushes, nausea is one case where everyone can agree that it absolutely sucks. Various things can cause nausea.

These include travel, pregnancy, and even disease. Most people just gravitate towards anti-nausea medications as soon as they feel even the slightest bit queasy, but reliance on pills is never a good idea. Not to mention the fact that pill-popping can bring various side effects, and may not be an option for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Other side effects could include drowsiness, fatigue, degradation of motor skills, and in some severe cases pharmaceutical overdose. Why would you turn to pills whenever nausea strikes when you can just use one of many home remedies for the same results? Today we’re going to show you eight home remedies that offer the same results without all the side effects.

1. Eat Ginger

Ginger is a common remedy that people have used to deal with their nausea. No one knows just how it works, but some have suggested the possibility that the compounds contained within the ginger hold identical properties to that of various anti-nausea medications.

There have been countless studies all coming to the same conclusion that ginger is, in fact, a genuine and very effective way to alleviate or cure nausea and its various triggers. Ginger has also been the go-to method of treating nausea that is caused by pregnancy. This is because it is great at treating this type of nausea, and also because taking anti-nausea pills while pregnant is generally a bad idea.

Furthermore, cancer patients could also use ginger to alleviate the symptoms that they feel after receiving chemotherapy. Some studies how found that ginger is equally effective to various prescription medications but treat your nausea without causing a new set of side effects.
