3. Warm Compress
Sometimes, your eyes just need a break. Like any other working part of the body (muscle, brain, joints, or otherwise), breaks are important to health and longevity. If you are having about of the dry eyes, try placing a clean washcloth under hot water, ringing it out, and then lying down and placing it over your closed eyelids for about ten minutes. You might try this intermittently throughout the day (if you are able to), to have a more pronounced effect.
Consequently, when pairing this with some of the other suggestions on this list, the effect will be felt synergistically – meaning, exponentially! Make sure your washcloth is clean, though… as you do not want to worsen the an already aggravated situation in your eyes with a rag that already has something that could irritate them further on there that you could not see with your dry eyes.
