2. Vitamin D
Vitamin D has been linked with dry eyes. The association is not as closely tied as that as the number one solution, but nonetheless, it is there in some form. Vitamin D is another one of the 13 essential nutrients the body needs to function. Vitamin D is produced in the body when sunlight touches your skin… so spend some time outdoors! Try hiking, biking to the grocery store in lieu of driving, or going for a walk around mid-day.
You can also (and likely should if you are experiencing a dry eye condition causing discomfort) take Vitamin D supplements. These can also be found at basically any store that sells vitamins. Shoot for the highest quality you can dish out for… quality helps. But, average quality is still helpful! If you have dry eyes, taking this for about seven days should start to have a noticeable effect.
