14 Typical Stomach Cancer Symptoms

Search Articles Here

Stomach cancer is notorious for being one of the most painful types of cancer. However, for many people, pain is not one of the early warning signs of the disease. In fact, most commonly during the early stages of the disease, a person will have no symptoms at all.

Everyone has a stomach ache every now and again, which is one of the reasons that many people do not really worry about stomach cancer. Stomach cancer is the most common among men and the risk for the disease goes up as a person ages. At some point in their lifetime one out of every 111 adults will develop stomach cancer.

This type of cancer is not typically inherited and most gastric types of cancer area actually sporadic or caused by a random mutation of the DNA. Here are some of the more common stomach cancer symptoms to be aware of.

1. Blood in Vomit or Stool

Finding blood in your stool can be quite alarming. This is typically a sign that there is something not right going on inside of you. However, simply finding blood in your stool or vomit does not mean that you have stomach cancer. While it is a sign that you could have stomach cancer, finding blood in your vomit or stool is also a sign of several other illnesses and diseases such as Crohn’s disease or colitis.

If you find blood in either your vomit or your poop, you need to make sure that you go to a gastrointestinal doctor right away. If the blood is related to any form of cancer it will most often look tarry black or maroon in color when it is found in the stool.

The reason for this is because of how the digestive enzymes have reacted to it. If there is blood in your vomit it will typically be bright red in color.
