Migraines are painful and cause you to be bedridden because they are intense. In order to get relief from migraines, you have to take a prescription or over-the-counter medicine. If you take too much of the medicine, it can impair your speech because you can damage your brain.
The brain is already damaged by having migraines. If you have migraines often, over time, it will damage the brain. Migraines can occur when you take prescription medications that are too strong for you. That’s why it’s important to tell your doctor when a medicine isn’t working for you. Also, when you ween yourself off of a medicine, the side effect can include migraines.
The migraines will eventually go away, but the damage is already done. You may notice that it takes you longer to say your words or understand what someone is saying.
