3. Rest
is safe to do to ease symptoms of Kawasaki disease. Some people say too much rest isn’t good for you, but when you’re dealing with a disease like this, the child needs his or her rest. When you rest, if you are having any pains or a fever, it will go away once you get some rest. The child doesn’t necessarily have to go to sleep but just lying down with help out a lot.
Even if the child does go to sleep, once he or she wakes up, their fever and pain should be less. Once they get back up, the pain may come back, but if it’s time for an aspirin, you can just give them one. The rest should be done a few times a day. They don’t have to lie in their bed. They can lie on the couch or in a chair for a few minutes.
