5. Falling down
is another reason why many people have patellar tendon tears. When it comes to falling down, it doesn’t have to be because a person is elderly. Anyone can have a fall, whether it’s getting hit by a car as a pedestrian or having a slip and fall inside of a grocery store. Falling as no age limit. Once a fall occurs on their knees, it will more than likely cause a tendon tear.
The person may not feel it at first, but after a while, the person will notice a difference, especially if the pain prevents them from doing normal activities, such as cleaning. An example, of a patellar tendon tear is when a pedestrian who already had a weak tendon and is hit by a car, the tendon has become weaker. When a pedestrian is hit, their leg will fly up and even if he or she doesn’t already have a weak tendon, it will become weak by the impact.
