3. Herbal Teas
Herbal tea is something that a lot of people never think to have in the house, but if you want to stay healthy, you should start stocking up. There can (and have been) a thousand different books out there about the health benefits of the many available herbal teas, and the scientific studies that support these health benefits are on the increase.
There are plenty of herbal teas that you can consume in order to ease the symptoms of whooping cough, including mint-based ones, lavender-based ones – or just plain old tea, though remember that some types of tea contain caffeine, and you should always take care with ingredients like caffeine and mint when it comes to existing or suspected heart conditions.
Try several different herbal tea combinations to find the one that works best, and continue the treatment even after the signs of the original infection are gone: It can only do your immunity some good.
