4. Kidney stones
Kidney stones are caused by the buildup of salts and minerals that form into chunks within your kidneys. You might not even feel pain until the stones in your kidney start to mobilize and/or enter the tube that connects your bladder and kidney.
Once this occurs, you’ll notice severe pain in your side, below the ribs, as well as in your groin and lower abdomen. The location and intensity of the pain could change constantly whenever the kidney stone moves to a different location on your urinary tract.
If you feel a severe pain that is constantly changing location, you should go see your doctor as this could be a kidney stone moving around your body. Treating kidney stones as early as possible is the best way to prevent permanent damage and minimize the effect that it will have on your health. The longer a kidney stone is moving around, the more damage it will deal.
