5. Cold Compress
Applying a cold compress to the area that your nausea seems to stem from, often the back of the neck, could be a great way to reduce the severity until it ultimately subsides. Most people who have been nauseous agree that it’s better to cool their temperature down than bring it up.
In fact, for those who suffer from nausea frequently, keeping some ice packs in the fridge is a good idea. That said, there are some who prefer heat therapy to cold compresses. If abdominal cramping is the cause of your nausea, you could get a blanket or heating pad to relax your muscles and hopefully take care of your nausea in the process.
There’s no one right answer in the question of heating pad vs. cold compress, all you have to do is try both out and see which one you like best. You could also get the opinions of your friends who have dealt with nausea in the past.
