Light sensitivity symptoms typically start as mild, and the patient may begin to squint or feel slight pain when in bright areas. If left untreated and manage the condition may result in severe pain when the patient is out in direct sunlight. Symptoms escalate over time, and the patient may notice that their symptoms of light sensitivity increase over a period of weeks or months.
The patient may also find that they may start to experience light sensitivity when watching television in a dark room. To overcome these symptoms of light sensitivity, try wearing dark sunglasses outside, and always leave a light on in the room when watching television.
