16 Frequent Symptoms of Cold Feet

Search Articles Here

Cold foot is a varied medical symptom that thousands of people experience every day – and thousands more people are diagnosed with every single year. There’s no one single medical condition that causes cold feet, but it can include circulation problems, heart conditions, nerve-end problems and a range of others that also includes diabetes, cholesterol and high blood pressure.

If you notice that your feet are always cold even when temperatures around them are not, or you spot that you need thick, wool socks when everyone else around you doesn’t, it’s likely that you suffer from the condition that’s known as cold feet.

Most of the conditions and symptoms that are behind cold feet aren’t immediately life-threatening, but a lot of them will still need to be diagnosed and treated or they can turn into much worse issues for your health later on.

Here are 8 frequent symptoms of cold feet that you should know about.

1. Changes in Skin Color

Cold feet is a very common condition, and not all of the different medical conditions that can cause it are very serious ones – but there are a few more serious medical conditions which can be the cause of cold feet, and you should always s make an appointment with your doctor if you show any signs or symptoms that are outside of your “normal” in order to establish the cause of what you’re experiencing rather than to leave it up to speculation.

Any changes in skin color combined with experiencing cold feet could point to anything from heart conditions through to a precursor of diabetes. Ideally, to find the cause easier, take note of which of the other symptoms can be combined with the ones you are experiencing – for diabetes, for example, increased urination is common, but for heart, conditions are not.

Report all the symptoms that you experience to your doctor to ensure an accurate diagnosis.
