15 Signs of Anaplasmosis

Search Articles Here

Anaplasmosis occurs when you are bitten by a tick. You may not know that you have been bitten until you start showing signs that may need medical attention. The reason for getting sick is because once the tick bites you, it gets into your bloodstream. Depending on how your immune system fights off diseases will tell what kind of symptoms you may experience.

There are many ways that a tick can get on your skin, such as walking your dog, being around someone who has a dog, or being outside for a long period of time. The only way to cure anaplasmosis is to get a prescription for Doxycycline.

Early signs of anaplasmosis occur one to five days after being bit by a tick. Once you clear anaplasmosis, you’ll need to take steps to not get it again, such as wearing protective clothing or spraying Permethrin on your clothing.

Here are eight signs of anaplasmosis.

1. Fever and chills are signs that you have anaplasmosis.

The fever and chills occur because the tick bite has entered your bloodstream and caused the symptoms. When you have a fever or chills, you may take Ibuprofen or Tylenol. It may temporarily help the fever and chills, but it will come back. That is the time to go to the doctor to see what is going on with you. The doctor will take blood to see what is wrong with you.

When the blood test comes back it will show that you have anaplasmosis. Even if you don’t have animals, you may wonder how you got a tick bite. The doctor should explain to you the ways a tick can get onto your skin. The doctor will also tell you ways you can prevent having another round of anaplasmosis. You’ll also receive prescription medication to help clear the problem.
