3. Household Cleaning
We already know about tea tree oil’s potent and powerful antimicrobial properties, and so it is perhaps little surprise to learn that this versatile substance can be a particularly effective household cleaner. Able to kill up to 99.9% of bacteria around the home, just as the big chemical brands claim to be able to do, tea tree oil is 100% natural and cheaper in a lot of places.
In order to use tea tree oil to its fullest effect as a household cleaner, tea tree oil should be mixed in with a couple of other ingredients. Equal parts of water, vinegar, and lemon oil should form the base liquid, to which up to ten drops of tea tree oil should be added. Once the mixture is ready, the natural detergent can be effectively put to use to clean countertops, all of your usual kitchen equipment and machinery, as well as baths, showers, and sinks. The fragrance and antibacterial properties make tea tree oil a great toilet cleaner too if you’re looking to go as natural as possible.
