Antibiotics don’t work too well for pharyngitis because there are side effects you’ll have to deal with.
1. Gargle with saltwater
is a healthy method to heal pharyngitis. In a pan, heat up some water and let it get warm. You don’t need it to be boiling hot. Take the pan off of the stove and pour in some salt. You can use a table or Epsom salt. If you decide to use Epsom salt, make sure it’s the original formula and not the scented kind.
Pour the mixture into a cup, stir, take a sip, and gargle for about 30 minutes. Repeat a few times. Do this every hour to help reduce swelling. By doing the saltwater gargle, it will get rid of the swelling and any bacteria that is in your throat. By the time you get up the next morning, you should notice a difference in how your throat feels. If not, then continue gargling every hour. You won’t be able to go to work, so this won’t be a problem.
