By dressing the wound, it will prevent you from wanting to mess with it. The wound will heal quicker when it’s warm. It is a good idea to change the dressing quickly so that the wound isn’t exposed to too much air. If it gets too much air, the wound will take much longer to heal.
Some people say to let the wound get air, but if you have noticed that wounds that get a lot of air, heal slower. Even though a dressing is good on a wound, it still needs to be changed. Change the dressing once a week.
To prevent the wound getting too much air, you may want to be a warm room. Also, make sure the dressing isn’t too tight to the skin. You don’t want to have a painful wound.
