2. The Coronavirus is considered a type of Coronavirus
Even though the majority of newspaper and media references refer to the condition as “the Coronavirus”, one of the first things you should know is that there are actually several different types of Coronaviruses out there, and the Chinese Coronavirus describes only one type of outbreak that describes one type of mutation of the virus.
There are other types of Coronaviruses to be aware of, and many different types of Coronaviruses are going to share the same flu-like symptoms of the outbreak that we’re seeing right now.
What the current Chinese Coronavirus is, is an evolved variety of a known virus: Symptoms are more serious (and potentially more deadly) than our immune systems are used to, and it is one of the reasons why this particular variety is so dangerous.
The best thing that you can do overall is to see your doctor if any type of Coronaviruslike infection is suspected: Mention all of your symptoms to your doctor in order to help to make a proper diagnosis easier.
