2. It’s Not Just Seen in Children
Enuresis is a health condition that’s commonly seen in children, and it’s expected that most children will suffer from the embarrassment of wetting the bed at least a few times during childhood – and it’s considered pretty much normal for this to happen, but only for a while.
Chronic bed wetting that continues or starts again after a long period of absence means that there’s something deeper causing it, and an appointment with a doctor and assessment of potential causes is the first thing that should be done.
But the one thing that a lot of people forget about bedwetting is the fact that it’s more than just a condition seen in children – it can and does also occur in many adults, as much as 3% of the adult population. The number could be even higher than this, but a lot of people don’t want to admit to the fact that they experience the problem due to fear or embarrassment.
