2. Ice your wrist with an ice pack is a home therapy to relieve wrist pain.
Icing the wrist will reduce swelling and pain. This needs to be done for 10 to 15 minutes every hour. Lay your wrist on a pillow while icing it. You don’t need to try to bend it while icing it.
Once you’ve finished icing it, you should leave your wrist where it is on the pillow for a few minutes before trying to start any tasks or activities. If you try to go back to doing any activities right away it can cause the pain to start back again. Also, try to do the icing when it is warm in your home because it may make the pain worse.
Once you take the ice off of your wrist, you want to warm the skin back up through heat in your home. You don’t want to get sick from icing.
