3. Changes in Burping Routine
One of the most common ways in which parents and carers notice that their children or babies might be experiencing issues with acid reflux is through the burping routine: When burping or massaging children with acid reflux, they will usually burp and vomit – and yet, trapped wind can be one of the common causes that’s tied to acid reflux, making this burping routine particularly important.
If you notice that your baby is vomiting excessively after eating, then keep them upright as recommended for a while after feeding time; together with this, it can be very important to still massage out the burps, but to be more conscious of the position the children are kept in while the burping happens.
Children with acid reflux might prefer being turned one way or the other, and it’s never a good idea to turn children with reflux or excess acid on their side or backs, which sometimes happens during the burping process.
