2. Impaired Movement of the Little Toe
There are a lot of people out there who believe that you are completely unable to move something if you have fractured it – but this is far from the truth, and there are a lot of cases where one might still be able to move something that has been broken or fractured, it’s just likely to hurt. If you have sustained a possible Jones fracture, you’ll experience the pain and swelling first, and you’re also likely to experience the impaired movement of the little toe at the same time.
Ignoring a potential Jones fracture can lead to impaired issues with movement in general, and the later need for surgery if the injury has set wrong as a result of over-straining it.
