Search Articles Here

“White tongue” is a condition that can be attributed to several different conditions, some that can be considered to be a little more serious than some others. Some of the conditions that might cause white tongue include a simple case of dehydration that makes the tongue appear white, especially if this happens in the mornings; it could also potentially be caused by an infection of the mouth, or a specific kind of infection known as thrush or oral candida.

If you have a case of white tongue, then you should know that the condition is often easy to treat and manage if you find and treat the cause of the symptom first. Here are 12 practical tips that will help you get rid of white tongue. If you try the items on this list and the problem still persists, then make an appointment with your doctor for an overall health assessment.

1. Rinsing with Salt

There are a lot of benefits associated with the use of salt; firstly, you should know that salt is one of the purest substances known to mankind, and it has thousands of different applications when it comes to cleaning and sterilization of both objects and anything else. If you have nothing else on hand, salt in a cut or wound will stop the wound from bleeding – and in most cases, you can stop what would have otherwise been a very severe infection with just the simple application of salt – or diluted salt water.

This is why you are often advised to clean piercings and tattoos with saline solution, and a doctor will advise you to rinse your mouth with salt water if you are recovering from any kind of dental surgery: Of course, it’s something that can be said to work for white tongue too, and you should add it to your morning routine.
