2. Tungiasis
There is a certain species of fleas that can cause a person to develop a skin disease that is known as Tungiasis. This skin disease occurs in many different countries. It can also be imported to other countries by people who are infected with the skin disease and then travel to other countries. Some of the symptoms of tungiasis include blisters, lesions, and ulcers.
These will appear in areas of the skin where the fleas start to burrow. A person with tungiasis may also experience burning, itching, and pain in the area where they are infected. If tungiasis is not treated properly it can cause other issues to occur. This includes a loss of toe nails or even the toes. It may also cause a person to develop gangrene, tetanus, and severe infections. Other serious complications may occur as well if it is not treated correctly.
